Today we launched Hiltons Macarons at the Essex Food & Drink show with six flavours and some white boxes with blue Hiltons stickers on them. Since having the idea in March we developed our macarons to be slightly less sweet than normal and also focused on making them taste really strong and true to their flavour.
The show was not that well attended. Apparently last year there were some major celebrity chefs that drew in the crowds, but this year for whatever reason the organisers had opted for the D team and so the crowds were not there, just a lot of very cross stall holders, with one exception: us - because we sold out of all our macarons!! Amazing.
We could be on to something here . . .
